Monster Energy Cup 2016 took place last Saturday night under the lights of Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
There were only 2 NJ racers competing.
In the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge, Jaden Palmer of Hammonton, NJ scored a podium finish with a third place.
Brick, New Jersey’s Brandon Hartranft finished 9th overall with 13-5 finishes on his Yamaha in the Amateur All-Stars class. Also in the amateur all stars class was Justin Cooper. Although not technically from New Jersey, we’ll claim Justin as one of our own. (He’s from Cold Springs Harbor, NY) Cooper finished one spot ahead of Hartranft with a 4-13 for 8th overall.
Rounding out the “local” riders was Maryland’s Jack Rogers. Jack finished 15th overall in the SuperMini class.
