Bob Evans of Bub’s Competition Cycle passed away on Saturday, May 8th. He was 83 years old.
Robert (Bob) J. Evans, 83, of Jackson, NJ, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021, with his loving wife
Gayle by his side. Born in Oakhurst, NJ, Bob lived in Asbury Park, Lakewood, and Toms River before
moving to Jackson 15 years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before
establishing his own business in 1962; Bob Evans Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Asbury Park, NJ.
His life was dedicated to the service business and he will be missed by so many more than just family.
Lucky to have found love twice, his later years were a blend of family, work, friends, food, and laughter.
There was never a shortage of stories from the old Oakhurst days, or his motorcycle adventures, that
always brought smiles to those listening.
